Is it possible to apply for visitor visa (B1-B2) after winning DV lottery?

Hello everybody,

I won the DV lottery 2012, and my interview for DV visa will probably be in the end of summer 2012. My question is that Can I apply for visitor visa (B1/B2 visa) to go to US for a week in the spring 2012? There is an important meeting that I would like to attend.

I could not find the answer of my question in this forum; Please let me know if you know any similar case.

May be your consulate can answer...though I know that u cant apply for non immigrant visa with immigrant intent.
