is it okay to leave the US after interview, but before oath ceremony?

I was just looking at the average times listed by others in my area...

there's a chance that my interview will come just before Christmas.
if this happens and I don't get to take the oath on the same day,
I assume it will be scheduled in 01/08 or 02/08. They don't take
away my greencard right after the interview, no?

Will I be allowed to leave the US after a succesful interview but before
I take the oath? My family is already trying to book award seats to go
to Europe for a few days around Christmas. I'm not sure if I should even
plan to do so. Or should we spend our Chrismas vacation domestically?

thanks for any info!

Not a problem - your status as an LPR does not change until you actually take the oath. During interview the IO will want to see your GC, but you get it back straight away. You hand it over permanently during registration on the day of the ceremony.

I took a week long trip between my interview and oath. No issues whatsoever. At the oath ceremony, I had to mention that trip on my N-445. That was it.

No problem at all as long as you maintain continuous residency status - i.e., not being out of the country continuously for more than 6 months. In short, short trips are totally fine. BTW, on the day of the oath, you will have to fill out a short questionnaire where you should mention any internal trips since the interview.
