Is it okay if I use a different lawyer to file for AP ???

I want to use a different lawyer than my compnay lawyer to prepare and file my AP application. Please let me know if that's okay and legal to do. I don't want to confuse INS but my company lawyer is ridiculously expensive. Please advise.

I see no issue with that. You can also file it yourself, it is a simple form (get I-131 from ins.gov)

the actual form is G28. Actually your new lawyer will know that. No harm in changing lawyer.

Thanks for your reply but I am not really changing lawyer just want file AP using a new lawyer. My I-485 still will be the same old lawyer(company provided). Hope my intention clear to you now. Please let me know if that's okay

but U can also file AP without the G28 . i.e. file it yourself...

Can I file both EAD and AP on my own

1 - My company is about to file I485 for me. But due to budget cuts they are not filing AP and EAD for me. Can I file it on my own?

2 - I saw in the EAD form that I can either file it when filing 485 or submit the 485 receipt notice. Since I am not filing the 485 do I need to wait for the 485 receipt notice?

3 - Also what documents I need to submit with both of these applications?
