My GC Resident Since date is 04/20/2008. I got it through asylum of course.

To my knowledge, you can file for citizenship 4 years and 8 months from the date on GC?

I have traveled overseas 2 times in last 5 years. First one in 2011 for one month and the Second one for 3 weeks in this month of Jan 2013. I spent total of no more than 50 days outside the USA since I received my GC.

Based on that information, When is the earliest date I can file for citizenship? The form is the N400 right?

My wife has her own GC since 2009, we married in 2009. Can she get her citizenship quicker through me or she should also wait for at least 4 years and 8 months from her GC resident since date ?

Thanks for any infos or advice.

gone are the days when this forum was so busy and interesting. Looks like many of those abandoned this forum after becoming citizen and passport in their wallet:(

Anyway, Since "my resident since " on my GC, I have spent 50 days outside the US. The earliest date I can file for N400 is around March 15th 2013?

Thanks

By my calculation, you are good to apply right now. You did not spend more than 5 months in one year outside the U.S., therefore, you have maintained residency. My resident since date was 3/8/2008. I sent in my application mid December and just did my fingerprints a couple of weeks ago.
