Is it illegal to offer $5000 for an Affidavit?

If I were to pay someone in America to be my Affidavit of Support and Fill in the forms would that be considered illegal. The $5000 would be merely money I would use from them on an If basis if for whatever reason I became bankrupt.

Other wise I guess I may as well ask, How would I go about finding an Affidavit? I've got a clean record, nice person, and successful in all aspects of my life apart from this one minor set back.

Thanks

If you're on the verge of bankruptcy and need to hide your money in different places, you need to ask yourself if it's such a good idea to move to a strange country. Moreover, a country that is not doing all too good lately in economic terms. Besides, it's far more easy (and profitable > interest) to keep the money in your bank account, and show it as proof of your own funds, should you make it to an interview. If your 'supporters' need money, they're not really supporting you. Who's to say they will ever give you the money back in case of an emergency? My advice: find someone else who wants to file an Affidavit of Support without wanting something in return (apart from gratitude, friendly gestures or small personal favors of course) and keep your money in your pocket.
By the way, what's up with the $5000 topics? Every question you ask on this forum seems to revolve around that specific amount of money. Next time we'll charge you $5000 for wasting our time, yet again.

it might be doing a lot better than his own country.... heck, it's doing a lot better than my ex-country... and my country of birth.
