"On April 14, 2005, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued."

Is it what I think it is..?

The message says, "based on the approval OR REGISTRATION of this case ...."

REGISTRATION could be REGISTRATION AS PERMANENT RESIDENT...so indeed it could be an approval ...as a matter of fact...I would doubt it is anything else . Keep us posted SHREK
BTW, just make sure you did not punch in your AP or EAD LIN# instead of 485 LIN#

According to my understanding, it is a finger prints notice. My wife has the same message on her case and it is not a approval notice.

if it turns out to be a FP notice...I should say that I never got any such msg change at the time of FP ... INS works in mysterious ways .. if I was that smart .... I would have been in some boonielands in Nebraska !!!

Well, folks, I dunno. I know I did FPs last October and again last month (which caused many raised eyebrows - "you did it 6 months ago, why did they send you back?") and my I-140 was approved in Feb, so I'm kinda hoping it is what I think it might be. Best of luck to all of us still waiting.

For my fingerprints the message said they sent a fingerprint notice.
For the RFE the message said request for more evidence.
For approval of I-140 and for the approval of EAD, AP, And for the I-485
it said the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case has been sent to applicant ...just like call me shreks notice.

For my cousin and her husband , they had the same message. And they were partying. And it turned out to be FP notice. We all wish that CIS could be more sensitive in differentiating

Well I wish you the best, but my intention was to say that do not spend money on parties before you see the actual approval notice. Just a precaution. !!
