Is it a good news that a case has been assigned to an officer?!!

I talked with an II0 and she said the case has been assigned to an officer and rewieved. But she couldn`t tell me if the case is approved or not or when it has been assigned to an officer.
Is it a good news or bad? And when should I accept any news?

Yes..it means that within 2-3 weeks you should havea decision.Please post your details like Priorty date, Receipt and Notice date, EB category etc.

probably you will get RFE

Dont worry at least ure case is being looked at and now it is a matter of time, it is the waiting to be assigned which is a long hard wait. R there any unusual situations with birth cert/i94/etc?
If so that maybe reason for rfe.
 
To my knowledge everything was fine..At least according to my lawyer.

The AVM is still the same. It didn`t change, yet. When a RFE is issued do we learn it from the AVM or by mail notice?
