Is is possible to transfer H1-B while I-140 is pending?

In other words is it possible to transfer H1B while the former employer is documented in I-140? If it IS possible, what is the procedure to transfer?

I would appreciate it so much if somebody could answer. I have been having serious troubles with my current employer.

It is advisable to be on H1 until I-140 is approved and I-485 has been filed more than 180 days. If you leave your employer before that, in that case employer can withdraw I-140 petition and you can lose your whole green card process. Be cautious !!
