Is INS teasing me?

I read that yesterday there was some technical problem with the system and it showed "case status not found" to whoever checked their status at that time. I had not checked my online status during that time so when I did check it, mine was normal. But this morning I just got an LUD (4/3) saying that my cases status is not found. Now if this is yet another technical error, I will just scream. Do not be a tease, INS. :(

Edited to add: Turns out it IS a tease!! :mad: :mad: I called the 1800 number , talked to an IO and basically told her that I received this message but was aware of recent technical problems happening with the system and asked if my case was approved or still pending. She checked and said :"still pending". :mad: I hate being teased.

Hi Clotty,

I am sure you are approved! I don't think the people answering the calls on the 800 have a lot of information on cases (I mean in depth). I don't think she/he can say that you are approved unless they see that on their system (I'm sure they don't want to be held liable by saying you are approved)! Anyway keep your fingers crossed.

MTGrl, many posters here called INS when they got the "case status not found" message and were told they were approved. The IO can see it in their system. I called and was transferred to an IO , and asked her if it was a technical error like on Sunday or approval, she said "it is still pending". She does not see the error message; those who answer the phone do, but not IO's. It is a technical error, a tease, like how it happened yesterday. They are going to give people heart attacks if they keep it like this.

USCIS was in its April fools mode this past weekend. Don't you get it? April Fool was invented by the Federal Government.
 
But I just thought that maybe on the first day of "case status not found" the IO's do not see the approvals in their system, but maybe on the second day or so it shows. I called INS for the second time today and the IO said clearly that my status was the same as what it was last week. And yet when other posters had called in the past they were told "you are approved" or even one was told that his card was ordered , yet online it still showed "case status not found"..... So I am thinking and hoping that because it is just the first day, even their system may not be updated yet, but if it still shows "case status not found" tomorrow , then I will be thinking maybe it is indeed approval and not some techinical glitch. And maybe then if I call them tomorrow, they may sing me a different tune. Oh tomorrow, come quickly.

Stop the paranoia. U r approved, just wait couple more days and status will be changed to approved.

I am not being paranoid. When I have TWO rational reasons to not be certain that I am approved, I will not pop the champagne bottle. If you read the "TSC" thread and other threads in other sections of the forum EVERYONE and their mother got a "case status not found" yesterday. There has been technical problems with the system these past two days. PLUS as I mentioned other posters in the past called INS when they got "case status not found" and were told that they were approved; I called and was told it was not approved . So those two things do make a strong case that it is too early to celebrate for me at this stage. Get it?.....I wish this stupid technical problems had not happened this weekend , then of course I would be sure that I was approved in that case....Whatever, either way ,I know it is near since I have had LUD changes since last week. Hopefully it is not a freaking technical glitch this time and hopefully the "case status not found" won't disappear like it happened yesterday.
 
U r approved..... when my status got changed to 'NOT FOUND' one.. I called 1-800 -*-* and they gave me very similar answer... they were also confused....

Were you transferred to an IO though? how come others were told they were approved when they called? Anyway, seeing that today I am the only one with that message, it does not look like the mass-technical-glitch it was yesterday, so yeah, it seems that I am approved. But I will wait till tomorrow to smile from ear to ear.
