Is H1 expiry date linked with B2 visa Period?

Hi

My H1B expires in June 2006
I am inviting my In-Laws on visiting visa (B2) the appointment may be in the month of April 2005

Will their Visa Period depend on My H1 expiry... or will they be granted with the 6 month---10Yr visa

My second question..

Since for both my In-Laws i got 2 Reciept numbers..should i be scheduling one appointment or 2 appointments for both of them...if so where is the option??

I am in exactly same situation. Could some one please post any answers, suggestions.

As far as the first one goes - since my H1 visa expires in June 2006 and my parents interview will be probably in Apri 2006, do I write a letter to the US Consulate in India - that my company is going to renew/file for extension of my H1 visa sincemy contract with them continues - Will this be OK or will this worsen the situation?
