Is First lady still helping to expedite NC?

Guys,

Late in the game.
However, please let me know if First lady is still helping to expedite Name check. I want to write to FL, congressman etc.

Yesterday I received a letter from FBI stating that they had received my letter for NC from the first lady and in response to that they have completed my NC and sent the results to USCIS.

However, I had also approached congressman's office in my area and I beleive they have been the one to do the job. I had sent letters to following parties: FBI, First Lady and Congressman.

Could you please shed some more light with more details. Like when did you send a letter to first lady and congressman.

It would be really appreciated if you provide a draft of the letter here.
 
I sent the letter in Mid August 2007.

I found the letter on this site itself. Please search this site.

Hi,

I think you should write to both . I wrote
in mid June 2007 to first lady. I got a reply
after 3 months from FBI that "your letter
to Mrs. George W Bush was forwarded to
us ....blah blah blah ...... your namecheck
was received on Sept 13 2006 and is
currently in process". I think around one month
after that I heard from Congressman that
namecheck got cleared on OCtober 18th 2007.

But , I wrote to first lady, Vice President, President,
FBI (Michael Cannon ) , TSC Director, Congressman,
Senator....from June 2007 onwards. So its unclear
which one triggered the process ....but
based on the forums here it seems like
first lady is consistently working. Give it
a shot and see what happens. Congressman sent
3 inquiries to FBI and the third one brought the news
that namecheck got cleared.

My 485 is still pending..... sent SR to TSC and also
congressional inquiry. Told to wait for atleast 60 days.

PD is current - EB 2 rest of the world. I think fingerprints
are good till December. 485 RD was in August 2006 and
fingerprinting in Sept 2006. No RFE's till now on
485.... I don't know if anything like RFE is cooking.
Hope I can get an approval
soon , so that I can travel in December. Good luck .

I wrote to FL, Michale Canon and senator in mid July. Except senator no one responded. Senator told name check is pending and he can't do anything more... :mad:
 
I sent a letter to First Lady in late August, and has not got reply yet. I got replies from both two senators and a congressman, one senator' s office told me that my name check is still pending, the congressman's office told me they are expecting reply from USCIS or FBI.

Thanks affectedgapcap, greatgc, DSLstart and DavidZ for the reply. I will write to everyone mentioned in affectedgapcap's mail. Instead of simply waiting let me try out something and hope for the best.
