My company offered me a substitute labor which i used and applied concurrently for 140 and 485. The RD for both of them was 7/19/2005. (Priority date is: 12/28/1998).
Within 10 days of the RD is received my FP call and soon after received my 140 and EAD approval. Received a RFE on 485 for incomplete I 693, which was replied soon after. FP was done on 8/31/2005 and VSC received the results on 9/8/2005 and i received teh following email:
"On September 8, 2005, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."
VSC received the response to the RFE on 9/13/2005 and then on 9/14/2005 the LUD changed again and i received an email saying
"On September 13, 2005, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 365 and 540 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case."
My question is, what is the next step, the fact that the finger printing results have gone back, does that mean that the name check is over ??? If not, what does the name check entail ??? In the last email which i have received it tlks about "preliminary processing was completed" what does that mean ? Also what is Infopass and what the deal with getting your passport stamped, I spoke to my attorney and she says that you willnot be called for getting your passport stamped and will receive the cards directly, what the basis for deciding who gets the cards directly and who has to make an appointment ??? If i have to find out more about the case, whom can i call, i have tried calling the 800 number which has the automated system and that gives me the same status as what i see online.
