EB2(vs EB3) only makes a difference as far as PD is concerned.
after you file 485, they are processed the same way.
search this group you will see some EB3 cases with RD April/2001 got approved couple of days back. not many EB2 cases beat that.
One of my firends was telling that INS will divide the total visa numbers into three parts according to the percentage that they announced. The applications received will be processed whether it is EB2 or EB3 and will fall under that quota. Normally the number of EB2 applicants will be less than EB3, the left out visa numbers under the EB2 quota will be reallocated to EB3 (I don\'t know after what time it happens). Guys! please correct if this is wrong.
Thanks!
The process you refer to is how the State Department comes up with the cutoff priority dates for I-485 filing eligibilty each month.
The fact that you have filed I-485 means that there is a Visa number available for you.
Once the I-485 is filed, the only thing that matters is RD.
