Is EB1 EA a future employment petition?

Is it necessary for EB1 Extraordniaray Abilities to have future employement? I mean it is a future employment catergory? Once I have my Green Card, do I have to work for the petitioning employer? I know that for most employment cases it is a requirement- you must work for the petitioner. But is it the same for EB1 E??

Please, if anyone know anything about this one, let me know.

For EB-1 EA, you can self petition like EB-2
Only for EB-1OR, you need letter from your employer. Since you are self petitioning, you are not bound to work for anyone, just to your area of petition.

Thanks for your response. I am looking into it right now. In theory I understand that EB1 EA is granted for the exceptional abilities not for work offers. However, in my case, I chose for my current employer to petition for me. I mean personally, I have no bounds to stay and work for this employer. But the question now is if there is a difference between self-petitioning and employer petitioning for me. Technicly, the category didn't change one way or the other, I just wonder if rules change based on a petitioning method.
