Is EAD still valid?

Hi All,

If anybody whose I140 and EAD is approved after 6 months and who is concurrent filer (I140, EAD, I485 at same time).

If he uses AC21 to switch employers, does he need to get new EAD to work with new employer or does he need new H1 to join the new employer.

what if already H1 period 6 years expires?

Please help.

Well that depends on you. If you want to be on H1 status then you need a new H1 approval from the new employer but if you wish to work on EAD you can still use the same EAD(not expired). EAD is for this purpose only
 
Use EAD, invoke AC21

With your posting, it looks like you like to invoke AC21....For this, your current EAD is enough to change to the new employer.

There is a debate about whether to inform BCIS or not about using AC21 to change employers (with a approved 140 and crossing 180 days on your 485).

Ensure that your new job details (job title, job responsibilities) match the details on the LC which you used for your approved I-140. I guess, the area of salary is a grey area. But as long as it is equal or more than what is stated on the LC, I guess you should be okay.
