I have an EAD, which was applied by my company. I have been past 180 days in 485 so am thinking of changing jobs as there are no projects in current company.
------- Find the same/similar job, by H1 transfer or through EAD, before you leave try to get complete copy of approved LC (ETA750A and ETA 750B and cover letter from DOL attached at top that says case approved) because you will need that to USE AC21 so that your employer or lawyer can draft a letter of similar job and will write the same skill set and job title, you will also get the Occc or DOT code on ETA750A, also get the I-140 and I-485 filing receipts
Can I use the same EAD or does my new company need to apply for another EAD for me so I can work for them.
------- EAD does not belong to any employer it belongs to you and it was granted to YOU based on your I-485 pending, employer has nothing to do with EAD, you can use the same EAD
My current EAD is valid until end of this year and I have already applied for a renewal for next year thru my current employer.
---- It simply means that you have applied EAD renewal; current employer has nothing to do with this. you may have used company lawyer but it was filed by YOU, your signature on forms, your photographs and your I-485 filing receipt was attached, employer may have paid $ 140 BCIS fees or you could have paid. EAD belongs to you, you don’t need employer letter or any document to file for EAD extension.
