Is courtesy copy of I-485 approval notice OK for PP Stamping?

I heard that Passport Stamping can be done even with the courtesy copy of the I-485 approval notice. Should anybody have any info about this, please share with us.

ND: 9/26/00
FP: 11/30/00
RFE: None
Approved on 8/15/01 by VSC. However, I need to go to Houston Office for stamping since I live and work here.

Yes you don\'t need originals...

I just did too with courtesy copy, no questions asked at Miami...

I think there is something goofy about
taking the courtecy copy for PP stamping.

My lawyer (company lawer) was hesitant to send me
the original, and insisted (indirectly) to take the courtecy
copy. He sent me the original after I told him the fact that I have
already got the stamping done.

Any Ideas ?. Anybody got greencard immediatly after
submitting duplicate I485 approval.
