Is Concurrent Process still in place?

Gurus,

Please let me know if the concurrent filing of I-140 & I-485 is still in place. My company has filed an I-140 during April 2005. I would like to know if I have to ask them to file for I-485 concurrently. Our company attorney is of no help.
