is birthcertificate necessary for filing I-485/I-130

Hi, i was on OPT and just converted to H1 a month ago. I married my wife ( us citizen) last month. :)

To file I 485 and I -130, I-765, I 131 and G325a do i need to submit birth certificate or just copy of passport pages would do the job?:rolleyes:

Yes, you need to submit a birth certificate. If you submit copy of passport page, they will send you an RFE regarding the birth certificate!
 
I hope you know that if your birth certificate contains language other than English, it has to be accompanied by a certified English translation.

Thanks for the info. I also have another question. Do i need to submit my wife's birth certificate also? ( she is a US citizen, she was naturalized). or only her passport be necessary?

Every form you fill out lists the supporting documents (in instruction pages)you need to send along.
Follow the instructions on the forms.
 
Translation

Hello,
Does anyone know if the translation to English from back home is good enough or does the translation have to be done here in US and certified?
I have received from india both the non availability certificate in hindi and also its certified translation to English - I was wondering if that is good enough ? OR do I need to get it translated here ?
