Hello:
Me and my spouse are thinking for going for our stamping tomorrow. Wondering if we can go in the appointment line without appointment.

ND: Oct 02
FP1 : Oct 02
FP2: 30th July 04
Approved date : Aug 17th 04
LUD change after 2nd FP:
08/06/04->08/09/04->08/13/04->08/17/04->08/18/04

Anyway my status still stays on AUgust 12th your FP is recd. But if the LUD changes for anyone like mine, looks like it is atleast 99% approved :) Good luck to everyone and thanks for this wonderful forum.

regards,

Looked in Sanjose website and it mentioned the appointment line only with appointments. There is no hint for non ppointment for gc stamping and appointment line.

Would appreciate info from people who have gone to San Jose center for stamping.

Thanks for your help and time

San Jose Info

A few months ago at the SJ center, when there were a lot fewer approvals, it seemed like they would allow people without an appointment to stand in the appointment line (my friend did that in May). But recently, a lot of people have reported that they have been kicked out of the appointment line if they didn't have an official appointment.

Here is a link to a thread from someone who got stamped last week:

You can also get an appointment for the center now using InfoPass:

infopass.uscis.gov

Hope that helps.

u need appointment - info pass

You will need to fix an appoinment through info pass

I had the same issue. My wife and myself went to the san jose office last thursday for our stamping and they said that we needed to get the appoinment first through info pass. So we had to come back and get the appoinment.
