I wanted to know if i can apply for my N400 citizenship within 90 days before the expiration of the date on my green card or perm. resident card?
My permanent resident card date is 2months later than my GC.Thanks.

Do you mean Your Permanent status has different date than the date of actual GC (plastic). You are applying based on block in your CG saying - Resident Since - XX XX XX, Your clock(5 years or 3 years) starts on that day, and you can apply 90 days before the 5/3 years anniversary as a LPR

My GC has an issue date of may 2007-2009 and my PR card says july 2009 -july 2019.Marriage based.

You can apply based on Resident Since block on your New/Old Card. As far as i understand your eligibility date will be around May of the next year.

The old card you got valid for 2 years and it's called Conditional Resident Card and 10 years card is a Permanent Resident Card, both of them are Green Cards :)
But, still eligibility date is the date when your case was approved at the first place in 2007 +3 years

Maybe I'm too dumb or too ignorant but what is the difference between a permanent resident card and a green card???

If you're applying based on marriage the earliest you can apply is 90 days before you have 3 years of continual residence as a LPR being married to a USC for at least 3 years.

Look at your GC. If it has a picture of you AND your spouse (the USC) then it's a conditional GC .

Seriously, does a Conditional GC say 'Conditional' or anything like it or just the expiration day is indicating that it's conditional?

i thought you could apply after 1 yr of LPR??

You can become a citizen 1 year after the expiration of your 2-year conditional card, which is 3 years overall as an LPR. Your time as an LPR started with the conditional 2-year card. You are mistakenly thinking that you first became an LPR when your 10-year unconditional card was issued.
