Is AP OK when previously out of status?

hurryup

I'm currently waiting for my i485 adjustment approval.

I plan to get an AP to travel back to my country after not being to visit in 13 years. I was out of status for 5 years prior to application of Labor certification then subsequently I140 then 485.
Would the out of status in the past makes my AP frowned by the immigration officer when i come back?

help..

I understand that, if you were out of status for more than 6 months, you get a 3 year bar from re-entry, and if you are out of status for more than a year, you get a 10 year bar for re-entery. Even if you have Advance Parole and AOS pending, you can be denied entery at the Point of entry.

If my understanding is right, then i would suggest that you are better off not leaving US. You have waited 13 years, and now you don't want to screw it up by taking the risk now, wait for couple of more years.

AP is not a guarantee for entry into US. I agree with "guju". You better not to leave US under any circumstances untill you get your GC.

Absolutely. If you are subject to the re-entry bars, then AP does nothing for you. The AP documents themselves say so.

You cannot leave the United States UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES until your I-485 is approved and the I-551 stamp is in your passport.
