The accident happened in California.
A cop was called and he wrote the report.
This happened recently. According to the report, the accident was my fault.
It was a rearending accident where there was no damage to the other car.

The traffic crash report is a report. Unless the Officer gave you a citation (ticket) for that causing that accident.

Traffic crash report by itself is not a citation. It is a report that an officer (in some cases you yourself) can fill out explaining what happened at the scene of an accident. It also allows drivers and insurance companies to exchange information, and acts as a proof that the above incident did take place where it took place. It is not a citation.

A citation would be if an officer gave you a ticket and had you sign it ie... speeding, following too closely, disobeing a traffic control device, careless driving, etc. Since you didn't get one you have nothing to worry about.

Just make sure you answer your questions truthfully and honestly.

God Bless, and hope you will be able to become a citizen!

I agree, I had a couple of unfortunate accidents a few years ago on a brand new car!! No they are not citations unless you were issued a ticket
