Is a new H1b visa required???

Hi,
I have H1b stamped from my current company till August 2005.If I change companies do I need to get a new visa stamp if I go to India and come back?

Can I come back on my current visa showing the H1 of the new company.

Has any rule changed regarding the visa that says that we should have the visa of the current company we are working or rather that a visa of previous company which might still be valid for another year.

Any help will be really appreciated!!!

well this question gets asked atleast 2 times a day.

If you have a valid visa not expired and not expiring within next 2 months, no consulate will restamp it.

So you have to use old visa and new approval to enter

So you have to use old visa and new approval to enter. Show your Valid Visa in passport AND H1 approval notice at POE and you will get I-94 till your recent H1 approval notice, check you I-94 date at POE

Thanks a lot for the reply.If you have time please answer this question.If the company closes down then does the visa stamp becomes invalid?

In that case do I need to get a new visa if I got to India or can the old visa still be used till it expires no matter when the company closed down?
