Ironic...

A relative of mine just became a proud US citizen! He has come to the US under the DV-lottery program 6 years ago.

But the ironic thing is that I was his sponsor. I did his affidavit of support. I am really happy for him, but I am mad at the system which is not fair at all!

In my 12 years of living in this country, i have been impressed by the efficiency of the system and the magnificence of the institutes in America. Only the INS stands out as an exception. This is the most inept, most unfair, most primitive, and most dysfunctional organization in America. What hurts the most is that this is the part of the system that we have to deal with the most. God helps us.

bringslite, i ve done the same thing, i sponsored someone back in 96 and now they are citizen. it's ok, we will have our turn too.

patience that's all we can do

Agree!

I agree with both of you my friends. The INS is run by our 3rd. world standards (actually worse, because the immigration authorities in many 3rd. world countries are run more efficiently, even though many do not have or use computers).

On the other hand, our politicians seem to have better things to do. They are busy getting reelected and helping big businesses. After all, wasn't because of the miserable failure of the INS (among other agencies), that led to the 9/11 disaster?

Don't wory, you are not alone. I won lottery twice, once for my parents in-low , second time for my friend. And me...still at the same spot.
I filed for asylum in 1992, was granted in 1997 , and ...so on
