Invitation letter from a person having H1

One of my cousin is in US on H1. His wife is on H4. He had invited his parents in February this year and they got the visa and went to visit him in March. They are still with him and will come back after few months.

I have a valid B1/B2 visa and he wants to invite me now. Is it okay to take an invitation letter from him because he has just invited his parents? Thanks for your help.

An invitation letter will do nothing, except to show proof of a plan to the US. You need a better defined plan that "just visit my cousin".

But if you have a valid B1/B2 and have your cousin address and phone, and plan to visit a reasonable amount of time. I do not see why you would have any problem.

Plus the BCP (Border and Customs Patrol) usually does not keep those letters.

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply! I have a valid B1/B2 visa but was just wondering if he could invite me as he has already invited 2 people (his parents) earlier in March.

I thought though you have a valid B1/B2 you need to show an address where you will be staying, at the POE. In this case, as my cousin is inviting me, I thought I need to take an invitation letter from him with his address mentioned on the letter. They sometimes ask for that when you exit your home country also.

I can't comment on the requirement of an invitation letter your country has upon exit, but you certainly do not need it to enter the US. Millions enter the US every year and stay at hotels and motels during their stay. You are free to put down your cousin's address if you will stay with him, but I am sure you do not have to carry an invite. If it gives you the warm and fuzzies, nothing is stopping you either :)
Enjoy your trip!!!
