Interviewed Nov 30, 2005, still waiting.

I and my wife were interviewed on Nov 30, 2005 in ATL and I am still waiting for the FBI background check. Is this normal?
I have to renew my EAD, which expires on 6/20. Another $180+$70 fee and I am worried if I receive it in time.

The FBI name check is unpredictable. It can take anywhere from months to years... unfortunate but true nevertheless. Go ahead and renew the EAD as soon as possible. It usually takes 2-3 months to get approved. I'd renew it now if I were you.
