interviewed in 12/02, still no news for spouse's case?

we were interviewed at San Jose local office early December, 2002. my case was approved in January 2003, and i got my plastic card in Feburary. but there's no news for my wife's case. is this normal? our lawyer contacted the local office a few times, and they said they would check, but no response so far. we sent an inquiry letter ourselves, no response. anyone has similar experience or know why? thanks?

We also had interview in SJC. Officer told us there is a freeze on 485 approvals.

we were told there's a freeze too on 12/10/02, but i thought it was over.
