Interviewed at Boston 7/21/03, not stamped

The first (and only real) question was:
Who do you work for now?

Then it took him 35 minutes to do the paperwork (for 3).

Finally was given the standard sweet promise:
It will be very quick! You will receive the approval notice and need to come back --they will stamp your passports.

So disappointing!

Hi Venyk,

Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the officer. He was very thin, semi-bold, wearing glasses and moustache. He was also somewhat snobbish...

Hi,

What time was your interview on ? Want to see if the interview is later in the afternoon whether they are not issuing same day stamping.

Thanks,

toughdba.

MyNameIsGC,

Can you please let me know the exact text of the interview letter. Especially what documents they wanted you to bring ?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Toughdba.

Details

Could you please post more details on your case. Mine was transfered few days before yours and my interview has been scheduled for the beginning of next year (2004). I am wondering if i could find out "why" that has happened based on your details.

Cheers!

Interviewed at 9:00

Sorry for the late reply. I was out for some time.

The interview notices we received were standard, not case specific. They asked for original: passport and I-94, evidence of eligibility (I-140/I-130 approval notice, I think) and employer' letter or relative's support letter (something like that).

We arrived at JFK by 8:30AM and was called into room 5 at 8:55AM, out at 9:35AM.

The officer was polite but he did not stamp our passports. He said that name check was pending and showed me my file. I did see a word "pending" but was not sure what was pending.

My case details:
EB2
I-140 RD: 12/04/2000,
I-140 AD: 11/8/2001
I-485 RD: 12/7/2001
I-485 ND: 12/17/2001
I-485 FP: 7/14/2002
I-485 TD: 6/16/2003 (received transfer notice on 6/23?/2003)
I-485 ID: 7/21/2003 (received interview notice on 7/3/2003)

Now waiting...Plan to visit Kennedy's office tomrrow--Not sure it helps or not. Called the office twice but was disconnected after the operator put me through an extension. They are the same government. What else can we do?

Don't waste your time and money going to Boston INS office. I am in the same situation. It's been 1 month i completed my interview but still they didn't send the approvel letter. When you visit boston office they will say still its pending and will ask you to wait 2 months.

Just to save your time and money

I agree with Venyk. After 1 month of waiting I visited Boston INS office and heard exactly the same answer: "Your case is on the shelf and it will take 2 month more". The promised two month of waiting ended yesterday, but still no news.

I meant to visit Senator Edward Kennedy's office

and I did. I called the office twice but did not get through.

An aid of Senator's immigartion aid (Amily) took the letter and told me that they had several months backlog. She added, "But we just turned to July mail" and will be glad to process yours "in the near future".

I am not sure whether this helps even if they pick-up the request. THEY ARE THE SAME GOVERNMENT.

I did stop by BCIS office. As you guys have believed, the person at the desk was rude and blamed me for the inquiry because "you are not the only one waiting".

I am exhausted and as a final measure turned to my boss, who would (I hope) pass my letter to the Senator himself. If that does not work out, I guess I should closed my bank account and return to my decent and respectful life.
