Interview without fingerprints?

My timeline is below. I have not received fingrprint notice. To my surprise, today I get a "Request for Application to Appear for Naturalization Initial Interview." Is this possible?

I was fingerprinted for the green card last year in June. Could this be a reason for not getting a fingerprint notice? I haven't come across this type of scenario. Also, the letter states that the "proceeding" will take about 2 hours. Is this the standard verbiage on the interview notices?

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks,
DJ

Are you in the armed forces? If not, how were you eligible so soon for naturalization?

I came to the US as a refugee in 1996. When I got my green card, the date of entry is used as the date I gained PR status.

2 hours is normal.

As far as second part, I am curious myself, the only thing I can think of is that you were fingerprinted less then 15 months ago and they were able to re-use those f-prints.

only my thoughts. i would do infopass.

Thanks! I called the customer service and they were as surprised as I was. The guy that answered the phone just told me to alert them before or during the interview. He said that new fingerprints must be used for each application and that there's a chance that I might get another letter asking me to come in for biometrics before the actual interview. Who knows... :)

Unbelievable. You never know what you can expect from CIS. I hope it's for the better in your case!
