Hi, two questions,

1, interview date, do I need bring spouse with me? will we be seeing together or one is just waiting at the lobby?

2, for the test questions, will the officer ask the exact words from the booklet? Eg: on the booklet ask "what is the supreme law of the land", answer be "the Constitution". But will they ask you like "what is Constitution?" then answer "The supreme law of the land"?

Thank you for answer, special the second one.

You don't have to bring your spouse with you for a typical N-400 based on 5-year LPR. If your N-400 is based on a 3-year marriage-based LPR, I have seen reports on this forum of some IOs asking to see the spouse.

For my interview, and for others I have read about on this forum, the IO will typically have a printed sheet of questions containing the random 10 questions that DO is using for that day. Those questions are worded exactly as in the test guide.

In most cases the IO will not deviate from the exact wording of the questions as in the booklet. Also, they will stop as soon as you have 6 answers correct. However there have been a couple of posts on this forum where an interviewee was asked all 10 questions, in spite of getting the first 6 correct.

The IOs are supposed to ask the questions as they appear in booklet, not make up new ones based on the answers.
