interview still not scheduled in San Jose after 6 months

Hi,

My I485 got transferred to the San Jose office in Sept 2004 and my receipt date is August 2003. I called the USCIS tollfree number and was told to send a letter to the local office to get the status of the scheduling for my interview. I've since sent 3 letters and still haven't heard back. It has now been 5 months since the transfer and no word.

Has anyone had a similar delay in getting an interview scheduled in SJ?

Right now they are scheduling cases with ND/RD around Jan/Feb 2002, I guess. Check my signature for my case details.

You are not alone. My case was transfered to SJ on Oct 2004, and I didn't get anything yet. My ND/RD is Aug 2004.
I visited SJ office 2 times, and everytime got nothing but "your case is still pending".
I do want to know what determines the interview letter, ND/RD, tranfered date, LC filing date?
Any input is appreciated!

I also have the same question? I have appointment this week and going to ask the same question. Hopefully we will have some answer.

When did you get interview letter? I'm still waiting for interview call. My case is pending in San Francisco Office ( though it should be in San Jose office). They are waiting for some temp file to schedule an interview. I don't know what does that mean.

I received the letter on 2nd March 2005.
 
Recently I went to CIS office to inquire about my case. My case was transfered from Vermont to San Jose on December 17, 2004. I came to know, they didn't receive my file yet. How long it takes to transfer the file from East to West? Is this delay is reasonable for my case. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
