Interview scheduled after 70 days! + AP question

Hello all.
When I filed the AOS in March of this year I was thinking that I would receive an interview notice in 6 months or so.

After about 65 days I had the AP and EAD, now the interview is scheduled for July 31st! I can't believe how fast it has all gone - less than 4 months.

My spouse and I have been living together for a few years and got married early this year, but because our families live all over the world we scheduled a ceremony and reception for July 21st with a few hundred people. We're going to be pushed for time to get the photos and everything ready for the interview.

BTW - DO is Santa Ana, Ca and my 485 showed no update since i had the fingerprints taken.

One problem is that I had planned to leave the country from July 27th to August 18th. Of course i will go to the interview, but am I free to leave after that? will they take my AP away?

Congrats on your Interview notice and good luck with the prep. I think I answered your question in one of your previous posts and told you that you'd most likely get the interview scheduled in early Aug... hmmm I did a pretty good bad job at estimation eh :>

Well, on Jul 31st when you go for the interview, you'd get a decision and if you get approved, you won't need the AP anymore. A lot of adjucating officers still stamp the passport if applicant is approved, but even if yours doesn't you can tell her/him that you have to travel and either he would stamp your passport or advise you to go to your DO and get it stamped if you don't receive the GC before your travel date.
