Interview schedule?

I am a DV2005 winner: My case number is 2005SA00034xx. I noticed that KCC has notified around 5087 winners from South America and understand that there are only 2400 visas available for such Region. Does it mean that first 2400 notified winners have real chances to get a GC since they interview will be fixed before Sep 2005? Is there any chance to receive a second letter from KCC fixing an interview before Sept. 2005? What should I do? Maybe would be better to call KCC asking for status of my case?

yes, there is a chance, because lots of people going to the interview DO NOT get the visas. They get rejected for whatever reasons. DO contact KCC when your number becomes current to see if an interview is scheduled.

Thanks, LucyMO. However in DV2004, Visa Bulletin Nº 72 showed in August 2004 that cut-off numbers were 2,175. Then in September, remaining cut-off numbers were CURRENT. As far as we know, there were 3,874 winners in South America for DV 2004. I understand that my number will become current in September 2005. Considering that second letter should arrive 4-6 weeks before interview, Should we have to wait until mid of July to contact KCC? Is it possible to contact KCC earlier?

of course, it's possible. You can email them or call them. You will most likely get the standard answer, such as: your docs have been received and are now getting processed. Or, your docs have been processed, but your number is not current, so the interview hasn't been scheduled yet.
