Interview -> RFE -> Expiring EAD. Whats next?

Case: GC through my Wife (US Citizen).
Had my AOS interview on Jan 26th
Interview lasted 40 minutes. Officer asked me (RFE) to get a Birth Certificate (BC).
I obtained BC from India within 4 days and sent it to USCIS DO via Registered Mail.

It is almost 3 weeks since I sent the copy of BC accompanied by a copy of the RFE. Havent heard back from them. No change in status online. Nothing in the mail.

My EAD is expiring May-2, 06.
Should I apply for a renewal of my EAD right away? or should I wait?
Also, my visa expires Feb 28th, 06 -> Should I also apply for AP (131)?

any help will be highly appreciated.

I don't understand, you said that you sent "the GC accompanied by a copy of the RFE"? what you mean with the GC? if you haven't been approved I think you are referring that you sent your I-485's NOA?

I have corrected it

I actually meant, I sent the BC along with a copy of RFE.
(Thats what was asked in the RFE)

Hope it makes more sense now.
