interview reshedule

Dear Folks:I have received my interview letter for family bassed adjustmentof status and the interview is on 16th of june, But there is a problem i thought that interview will be in oct, now my wife ad kids are gone for vacation and will come back in the end of sept 2009. now wot do u think should i call them back or reschedule the interview, did someone has any experiance of reschedule of interview or wana share the experiance.

Get your wife and kids back. You can reschedule but there are too many horror stories of people rescheduling and getting denied for abandonment and the like. USCIS can not be trusted to handle a simple change of address correctly let alone rescheduling the interview.
 
Moreover, I think if you reschedule with the above reason, IO would be highly suspicious of wife and kids going on 5 month (or more) "vacation" without a husband. I know I would be.
 
well there might be many reasons for reshedule and i have shecdule info pass too for making sure everything is setteled.My concern is that if i reshedule it and ig i travel on advance parole i might have problem so for making sure i will also contact that ICE office.lets see wot they say.
 
BAD BAD VERY Bad idea... do not reschedule your interview. You may end up waiting another 6-12 months for another interview, or be denied due to abandonement.

USCIS is NOT very good at this appointment thing, once you finally get one you do NOT want to lose it.
