interview rescheduling ?

Hi,

I and my husband got our interview appt letters for interview scheduled in second week of March.

But the glitch is - that our interview is scheduled at center which is about 200 miles from where we live AND plus both me and my husband have interview on 2 different dates !

For my interview - for health related reasons I will not be able to drive for 200 miles and my husband will not be able to come along with me on my interview day.
Hence I wrote a letter to USCIS explainig my situation and asked them if I could reschedule my interview date on the same day as my husbands.

I am now thinking whether it was the right thing to do and what are the chances that USCIS would grant to my request?
In case I dont hear from them , what should I assume ? Should I accompany my husband on his interview date and see if I could be interviewed?
Would calling the 1-800 number help ?

If you have attached supporting documents of your health concern with your letter, then it is my strong believe that they might consider your request, just wait till the end of February and if no response is received, go for infopass and present your case before an officer.

I don't think there is any use of you going with your husband's appointment, as in order to interview you they must have your file in hand prior to your arrival.
