Hey guys I have a small question about the interview, I tried to search but couldn't really come up with anything. I sent my packet out on the 5th of July and received my fingerprint appointment for the 5th of August. This morning I got the email saying my I485 interview has been schedualed for an interview on the 30th of August. My question is will I be getting my greencard before I receive my employment card? Has this ever happened before? My brother did this same process and it never went this fast.

Wow thats really quick. What state are you in? And yes you will probably have your gc before ead since ead approval usually takes sixty days.
 
you MAY OR MAY NOT received your EAD before the interview date.
if your case is moving very quickly which seems like it is, then it is possible that you may receive GC before EAD.
remember, when you receive your GC, you don't need the EAD anymore anyways
 
For me the travel document and interview came first couple of weeks later i got the EAD.
It took 87 days from start to finish for me .. but the I 751 its been almost 150 days no update :) I guess things even out with USCIS..
