Interview postponement

Hello All,

I have requested a postponement of my interview from December to January and the Chennai consulate said OK by email and asked me to check back with them on December 15 for January date.

The problem is my number is still listed for interview on the Chennai website on December 16. Should I send an email asking them to delete the record from the website or what the website says does not matter?

as long as you have an email confirming rescheduling of your interview you should be fine! Make sure to carry a printout of that email when you go for your interview in january as a proof that it was rescheduled. Also at the same time it would not hurt to send chennai an email that your mdr number is still showing up on their web site.

I did ask them to remove my MDR number for Dec and this is what I got -

"This is in response to your e-mail. We will
reschedule the visa appointment. To know the correct date, please check with us after December 15, 2003."

Hopefully they dont send the P4 now.....

do not panic...you should be fine. as mentioned in the email check back on or after 12/15 when the jan list is published if you do not find your case number in that list then send another email but i feel your number will be listed. definitely carry printouts of the email response you got from chennai consulate!
