I have just talked to my lawyer asking for the transferring action from L.A. office to westminister office. My lawyer told me the INS officer will decide which office you should go. It all depends on the living address. I am living in fullerton, orange county, so may be the INS will transfer my case to westminister for a interview.

By the way, it takes about 2 years to receive an interview notice from INS both LA office and westminister office. This is what my lawyer told me. I don\'t know it is true or not?

Even if the notice inform you of the transfer to LA office,
you can still request Westminister office to transfer your
file if you are eligible. I believe Orange Country is within
Westminister office\'s juristiction.

Many people think it takes two years for LA office to
schedule an interview. However, in reality it\'s much shorter.
If you can get your file transferred to Westminister, your
waiting time will be even shorter! I actually think you are
in a somewhat better position than San Jose waiters such as
ProActive and unluckywaiter.

Rejections: some information.

On the INS web site you can find some AOS rejections for the year 2000. Actually these are denied appeals. As far as I can see the rejections are for R (religious worker) and E (investment) classifications.

Some other administrative decisions are present (quite a lot more actually). I was not able to locate any related to EB immgration.

My PD:98..but many ppl with same PD got approved without interview,mine was transfered for interview.None of other conditions are valid for me!!

I know from my own experience that it can be distressing to get an INS interview. Other people are in the same situation and we will share news with you during this possibly long wait.

Can you tell us if you are located in California and if so Northern or Southern?
