I know that there is a serie of interview at local INS offices in the next couple of weeks, including SJ. I will post mine in about 2 weeks. Guys and gals, please post your interview experience when appropriate...

Good luck!

I\'ll post, but it won\'t be a reference for you three guys

Hi guys,

You\'ll be graduating from the interview club, soon.
I\'m still waiting for the notice of the interview schedule.
But, I expect I might have the interview in one or two months, because my RD/ND are all 01/01.
(Considering ND of ProActive: 12/00, ND of UnluckyWaiter: 01/01, when is your ND Interview1?)

I wish all you three guys a smooth and prompt approval in your interviews.
-Hal

P.S.
Be careful!
You might forget posting your interview experiences with the bang of the passport stamps.

Thanks for the reply, Interview1. Have a great Thanksgiving with your GC!

Interview1,

Interestingly, your dates are very close to mine.

Your ND: 02/01(very early Feb., though), My ND: 01/01(late Jan.)
Your Xfr date: 09/01(early Sep.), My Xfr date: 09/01(late Sep.)
Your Intrv. Notice date: 10/01(mid Oct.), My Intrv. Notice date: ???, Not arrived yet now 11/01(mid Nov.), but could be soooon!

Let me see how long I should wait to get the intrv. notice.
Enjoy your interview and get approval!

-Hal

Hal Love,

What really matters is your transfer date. Yet another line ....

My transfer date was in May 2001.

Interview goes with their RD/ND rather than Xfr date

ProActive,

How are you preparing the interview?

According to the cases and posts of many experienced guys,
interview date is not starting again from the transferred date.
The local office checks the RD/ND and gives you the interview date.
It should be like that, even if the INS - the mess of the chaos is giving the dates.

Just think about the cases of you and Interview1.
Your Xfr date: 05/01, Interview1\'s Xfr date: 09/01
Those two dates are too far to think as the Xfr dates are the reference, while you guys are having interviews almost at the same time in this month.
Think about your ND: 12/00(is it correct?), and Interview1\'s ND: 01/01
These are quite close.
Still I have another question here, though.
Why Interview1 goes interview earlier than you?
Have you guys thought about it?
(When were the RD\'s of you two guys?)

Maybe, there could be some other factors until local office is getting ready to give the interview dates case by case, and it could give some different delays to different cases. But, those could be something beyond the basic rule or principle.

Thanks, and have a nice interview and get approval.

Hal Love,

I am preparing a file with all the document they asked for and what ever else they may want to see. I got the tax returns directly from the IRS.

Regarding the interview date, I think that one if the imm. officers just gets all the files from the big pile and assigns the dates in what ever order the files are in. So although both the RD and XFR dates are somehow related to the interview date, there is a big random factor in the system.

Patience .... the final frontier :)
