interview/passports??

Hi Folks,

Let me tell my timeline first:

Applied: July 2001, File #: Sep 2001, Ini Ass: May 2002 (Interview required), File Tras. to Detroit: August 2002, Got new forms: March 2003, Medical sent: May 2003, Interview Sch: August 2003.

I have couple of questions for the Gurus. Please respond before my interview. Thanks in advance.

- Do they stamp the passport on the same day after the interview if you pass the interview?
- My wife would not be appearing in the interview although they have requested her as well. Can I take her passport instead to get it stamped or would it be illegal?
- Please advice how long they generally take to call for the passports for visa stamp after the interview (if they do not stamp them the interview day)?

I would really appreciate if someone/his friend is facing the same scenario and advice me know how to tackle the situation.

The interview has a purpose, it is conducted to clarify certain things about you and your wife, she will have to accompany you to the interview, her interview has not been waived.

You will have to take all original documents they requested to see at the interview

Have you payed the Right of Permanent Residenc fee (RPRF)?

If your interview is successful they will ask you to pay RPRF. You will receive a request for the staping of visa after 3-9 months after the Interview.

Your passports will be requested for the stamp of Permanent residence visa.

Yes, I have submitted the right of landing fee along with the application fee for both of us.

Are you pretty sure they will take 3-9 months even after the interview? They have been reviewing my file for more than 2 years now. They have the medicals with them as well.

Do you know this by chance or any of your friend had the same timeline and scenario?

Is there any one else who would agree with Ray?

This forum has some vital info, go to the Buffalo Tracker and look for your self, the time required after Interview till landing papers receipt.
