Finally my wife got a interview call from local INS office in SFO on 13th Feb. But this time INS have asked very unusual document which is I-134 filled out by principal alien. Which I don't understand why ? Why it is required when she is already present in US and she is eligible to work (offcourse after getting EAD). Apart from I-134 INS has asked for evidence of the bona fides of your marriage, i.e. birth certificate of all children, joint checking/saving accounts, joint credit cards, utility bills, rantel/lease agreement, wedding pictures, etc.

Any clue ?

Hi,
My attornies insisted that I needed to include the I - 134 when they filed my 485.So I do not think that is unusual document to request for.

Hope this helps

Ediots wants to verify your marriage. Damn INS never trusts the right ones and grants the VISA to Mr attassss.
Take you wedding albums and evey damn document they asked make a huge bundle with cover sheet which is where. IF possible take the lawyer. Wondering how they missed out Tax files for last few yrs . SFO is kinda weired cause they did the same to my cousins's wife.

post some more info plz..

could you please provide your WAC# and the date they called you for interview? 10x.

Congratulations!

Vipsha,

Terrific news! Finally your wife is going to get her green card and you guys can move on to better things! :) Also good news that CSC is finally moving in some direction.

WRT the extra documentation, apparently INS is extremely suspicious of people getting married for GC's so dependent GC's usually raise a flag and it is always better to take everything with you when you go for the Interview. As ghost-rider mentioned, take everything but the kitchen sink to prove that the wedding took place for the right reasons. I don't think they will give you a hard time, it is just a matter of formality. Take your lawyer though, helps if the interview can be guided along the correct format. These IIO's are a bunch of morons and don't really know the law!

Good luck!

I said unusual because she already did her ADIT processing and after 7 months they are asking 134 and other docs ?
her WAC is WAC-01-161-xxxxxx
ND- april'01

We have been married for 8 yrs now and at the time interview also we were married, I showed INS officer every thing to prove it, and he was OK with that. But that idiot did not approved my wife's case though he told me at the time of interview that he will, A**hole (sorry I have no other word for him)

Moreover at the time of ADIT process INS canceled her H4(this I can understand since I did my PP stamp on the same day and H1 is canceled for me so no H1 no H4) and took EAD and I-94(was about to expire in a month) also since they were about to stamp her passport but when they checked her status on their stupid computer they said sorry we can't stamp. And they kept I-94, and EAD also.

Now I have changed my job also just after getting my GC though it was a accident only. I had no intention to leave my sponsoring company.

Waiting time for interview in Los angeles

does any one knows what is waiting time in L.A. for an interview.

Thanks,

I don't know man, but let's hope for the best. My feeling is that after interview they will say we will send you the approval by mail after some bullshit security check. And then again another wait will start. This wait sucks man, If they want to approve approve it right away otherwise say no we can't, I will go back to India. This is enough.
