Interview Notice by Email?

Just a quick question. Do they email you for the I-485 interview appointment?

I have signed up for email notification and got most of the email messages before receiving the paper notification.

Just wondering if they also send you an email notification for the I-485 interview appointment. Thanks
 
The notice is sent by mail. For some people the status online for their application changes when they send the letter, that's when you get the email informing there was an update. But for a lot of people, including myself, that didn't happen.

Is your signature updated? If it is you should call and/or make an Infopass to inquire on the status of the application...
 
My mom's I-130 was approved today. We received an email.

At the same time my Dad's I-485 has a new LUD as of today.

So I assume someone is working on their case.

Also I have contacted local congressman last week. And they have contacted USCIS on my dad's I-485 name check case. I am not sure whether this is the result of their inquiry.

Case:
10/2006: concurrent I-130/I485 filing for parents. transferred to CSC. local is LA district
08/2007: Dad's I-130 approved (I-485 name check pending)
10/2007: mom's I-130 approved.
mom's I-485 RFE for police clearance returned and received by them in 09/2007.
no I-485 interview yet.
