My wife's interview is near.
I have a question:

My wife goes to India and spend's kids' summer vacation time with parents in India every year. She goes around school closing and is back before school reopening.
She has accumulated around 350 days (approximately) out of country thus in last 5 years.
Would this be a problem?
Is it OK if the IO asks about this and she says "Yeah, I normally spend the kids summer vacation with parents in India"

Also, She was out of country for approximately more than 6 months before her GC. I see that the IO asked somebody about a travel he had before GC ... I am worried! Why should he ask this?

3 months of yearly vacation to India isn't an issue for naturalization.
The IO can ask about travel before GC, but it isn't used for naturalization edibility. It's to determine if the previous visa remained valid. Don't worry, she should be fine.
