I renewed my passport last year, however, i do not seem to have my older passport (not sure if the consulate kept it). Is this going to be a problem at my interview? (June 13) The previous one had most of my travel dates .. any help appreciated.
Thanks

I don't think it should be an issue. If asked, tell your interviewing officer exactly what you told us, i.e. your consulate kept it when you renewed your national passport.

I think it depends on whether your travel history is in anyway complicated or controversial with respect to residency requirements for naturalization. My interviewing officer did look at some US entry stamps in old passports. However, go to the interview, tell the truth and cross that bridge if you ever get to it.

If you happen to have copies of your tickets (flight schedules!) that will help.

However, I would call the Consulate and ask them about the old passport. I am pretty sure they kept it. When I renewed mine - actually I had to be issued another one - they asked me for the old passport. They said that they cannot send me the new passport without me returning the old one.I told them I need it back. So, they cancelled it - they cut a corner of the the first page - and they sent it back with the new one. Simple. In your case, probably they just kept it. Call them and see what they have to say.

One question for you...don't you have a copy of your passport? That can pshow your stamps too. However, in my husband's case, he was missing 2 stamps, BUT, I kept all the tickets receips, and boarding passes with the seats #. The officer saw that some stamps were missing. My husband wanted to show him the tickets, but he was happy with the dates of the travel. Of course, he had 3 short trips in 5 years. It was easy. In your case, make sure you have a list with WHEN, WHERE, and HOW LONG (dates IN and OUT)

You will be just fine.

Good Luck
