Interview Letter on it's way ?

Hello all,

Just a quick question if somebody could guide me or clear my confusion here. I applied for my citizenship last year in April. My finger prints were done in May of 2006. I was called for the interview at Atlanta office on Jan 22nd of this year. Unfortunately since my file wasn't transferred to the local DO I was sent home and was told that I will be called for the interview in few weeks once the file makes it to Atlanta office. It's been over 7 months now and there was no news until few day back. I get a letter from USCIS asking me to go and get my finger prints done on Sept 4th since 15 months have passed and my finger prints have expired. Now, is that a good indication that may be my IL is coming soon and should be on it's way since they have called me for my second FP.
Please comment on this or advice what should I do at this point. I think 7 months is quite a long time for them to transfer the file keeping in mind that upon inquiry thru Info Pass my first set of FP and name check were cleared long time back. It has been almost 17 months now since my priority date.

Looking fwd to hear from you.

Thanks.

I personally know someone from the Atlanta DO who got his 2nd FP done about a month ago and two weeks later (after 18 months of PD) got the interview letter.
I don not have any other info on his case.

Thank you

Thank you Lightrain for your quick response. If there is anybody else who has more to add on this, please do comment.

Thank you all.
