interview in SF?

Hi,

my case was transferred to SF INS in June, 2001 and I still didn\'t receive the interview notice yet. My RD is 3/01, ND 4/01, FP 11/01.

Anyone has similar experience? Anyone know any reasons why a very simple case can get transferred?

I went to the INS office yesterday and talked to an information officer and she told me that cases are transferred because they were rejected first and need further review and it could take 1-2 years in the SF INS to get to review it.

Any advice and information is very much appreciated.

yesterday, I went to the INS office and talked to an office who told me that the normal time of waiting for a review of my case in SF office is 1-2 year!
 
it should be 4 to 6 months, they say

1 to 2 years seems very long. Mine was transferred in october and I am still waiting. I have heard some cases that got the interview within about 5 months. Talk to your lawyer. My lawyer says I have to wait 6 months before doing anything. Let us know what your lawyer thinks.

Did INS transfer your case before FP? I was thinking they transfer it at last. Is there anything special in your application?

Dear sf interview, and anybody else for interview,

For your reference, I\'d like to inform you the dates of interview in San Jose INS local office.
-sorry for not being focused on SF cases -
Once your case has been transferred to interview, you need to be ready to wait at least 3 to 8 months more than the case when you get approved without the interview (Refer to the below data.)

Recently, there were four guys(including me) done interview and got approval at SJ office.
Followings are the summary. (in the order of the interview date)

Interview1........ ND:01/01..., Intrv Xfrd:09/01..., Intrv Ntcd:10/01....., Intrv Date:11/01 (Aprvd on Intrv)
ProActive......... ND:12/00..., Intrv Xfrd:05/01..., Intrv Ntcd:10/01....., Intrv Date:11/01 (Aprvd on Intrv)
Unluckywaiter.. ND:01/01..., Intrv Xfrd:04/01..., Intrv Ntcd:10/01....., Intrv Date:12/01 (Approved)
Hal Love........... ND:01/01..., Intrv Xfrd:09/01..., Intrv Ntcd:11/01....., Intrv Date:01/02 (Approved)

(*Note)
1. As you can see from here, Interview Date of SJ is scheduled in 11 to 12 months from ND(or RD).
(Days from the Xferred Date to Interview Date have lots of variances, and hard to expect)
2. Notice is coming to you with 1 or 2 months of time ahead of the interview date.
(Currently, it looks like that INS is trying to give approval in one year + - a month for interview cases)

Now, you may expect when you\'ll get the notice of the interview schedule with the interview date.
I\'m sure that SF would be pretty much the same as or quite close to the cases in SJ.
It means that if your ND/RD is March/01 then, it\'s almost time for you to get the scheduled date.
I don\'t believe the saying of INS that it\'ll take 1 or 2 years, just don\'t think much about it.
They don\'t consider and think of any amount of the worries of the GC applicants, and they are so irresponsible, when they are answering. They don\'t care about what they should serve.

Don\'t worry with any unclear answers. Truth is everywhere around you.
Time goes by, and your date will be scheduled very soon.
