Interview for EAD ? - Help Pleaseeee

Hi,

My company based in California filed for my Green Card.
PD: March 2001

Got a letter last year saying I should expect an interview for my AOS but no response.

After my EAD expired, I now filed for renewal of the EAD and got an interview on that. I am not sure what the reason is. Interview is scheduled in the first week of December. They have asked me to come with copies and originals of all immigration paperwork, passport, present EAD document, original I-94 and any receipts issued.

Could someone please tell me what would be the reason for this interview ? All the letter they sent me says "For processing EAD". Do I need my attorney to be present during the interview ? If my attorney is unable to come to New York for the interview, should I go ahead and hire someone local ? How much would that cost ?

I would be more than thankful for your help in this regard. I am just too tired of this immigration process now.

Where is your interview? Usually, AOS interviews take place outside the US.

My AOS interview will be in New York as per the status on the online tracking system. Also my EAD interview will be in New York.

I am not sure why is an interview scheduled for EAD ? Is it common ? I am under EB3 category in Employer Sponsored Green Card application.

Any help is highly appreciated.

if that is quite a bit, it is a suspect, call up, unless they want 485 intvw as well

confusion... more confusion

In my case I have a change of address from CA to NY and the fact that I chose to use my H-1 rather than the previous EAD issued. Now that EAD is expired and my H-1 is about to expire. So filed for the EAD renewal.

Also my previous fingerprinting was done almost 2+ years ago. Could this be the reason ? Is there anyway I can find exactly what is wrong ?

I am confused.
