Interview for adjustment of status tomorrow! quick question

hello my family based i485 interview is tomorrow, waited almost 5 years for this!

my dad divorced my mom when i was a child but my moms currently illegal. i live with her in California but we stated that i live in Nevada with my father for the petition.

if they ask me about my mother how should i answer? i dont want them investigating her current status and have her go through legal issues.
